Per-piece price = (item cost × markup + laser engraving) × volume discount × wholesale rate. Engraving is billed by square inch (laser time), clamped between a floor and a ceiling (your "maximum goal").
As order quantity climbs, the per-piece discount grows (capped by the max-discount values above).
